Our Last Friday Lunch resumes Friday, March 25, at noon with featured speaker Elizabeth Rynecki, who wrote a book and made a documentary, Chasing Portraits, about her great-grandfather, a Polish portrait painter whose art depicted the everyday lives of Polish Jews. His paintings disappeared during WII, and Rynecki, who lives and works in Oakland, spent two years tracking down his paintings all over the world.
We'll have Cheeseboard pizzas for lunch ($5 donation suggested) and you're welcome to bring your own lunch as well. As usually, we'll go around the table and find out about missing art and other objects in your family that you've discovered. Feel free to bring them to show us!
