Modern has changed meanings many times in a short few decades. The crucial currents of NOW integrated into a fabric of the past -- via cultural, literate and digital signals -- begins to sketch the ways of arts practiced by Hillside Club member, writer and thinker Brian M Hamlin.   Each year, the suns sets into night with the December celestial times, and thus the annual Berkeley Hillside Club Arts Show affords a short and fun collection of Arts for the public and HSC members to enjoy, reflect upon and trade.  Community and persistance define this California landmark location, and the arts of its participants are a view into the varied interests and endeavors of its members.
