Founded in the late 19th century to promote good design practices in the Berkeley hills, the Hillside Club
today is a community-based membership organization dedicated to supporting the arts and culture and preserving our landmark building.
We invite you to explore our club history, events, and membership information, and consider renting our

Pianist and impresario Christos Vayenas discusses the connections between music, meditation and the creative process.
Christos will shed light on the role these principles play in the vision behind his work as a musician and artistic director, offer a guided introduction to meditation, and conclude with a spontaneous piano improvisation, bringing these ideas to life.
