Hillside Club House Renovation Updates

Founded in the late 19th century to promote good design practices in the Berkeley hills, the Hillside Club

today is a community-based membership organization dedicated to supporting the arts and culture and preserving our landmark building.
 

We invite you to explore our club history, events, and membership information, and consider renting our

facility to host your event. Our hall is wheelchair accessible and our restrooms are ADA compliant.

Two esteemed legal scholars -- Erwin Chemerinsky, dean of the UC Berkeley Law School and constitutional expert, and Catherine Fisk, an author and professor of labor law -- discuss the challenges currently facing government agencies, law firms, media, unions and individuals. These two experts -- who happen to be husband and wife -- share their perspectives on the current landscape and provide perspective about the constitutional questions, assaults on the judiciary, free speech protections, threats to journalists and a free press, and the future of labor given the gutting of federal agencies and union jobs, etc.
