Tuesday June 6th at 7:30. The theme will be white wines of France.
We will of course pick from the well known grapes such as Chardonnay (such as Bourgogne Blanc or Chablis), Sauvignon Blanc (from Loire Valley, notably Sancerre), Viognier (Condrieu from the Rhône), and Chenin Blanc (e.g. Vouvray). There are many blends to choose from such
as Bordeaux Blanc (Sémillon, Muscadelle, and Sauvignon Blanc) and Languedoc-Roussillon (Chardonnay plus Viognier). We may dip into Alsace (near Germany, notably Riesling, Gewürztraminer, and Pinot Gris) and maybe even some Grenache Blanc, hailing from the Rhône to Roussillon (near Spain). Obviously we cannot include all of these, and we might stumble across something else.
